
“Abandoned” presented by the Visual Art League of Lewisville (Opening Day)
Local artists have transformed abandoned cares, ideas, and materials into art through paintings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces that’ll make you think about the word ‘Abandoned’ in a whole new way. The exhibition runs from May 3 – 31 in the Art Gallery.
Opening Reception:
Drop by the Lewisville Grand Theater Gallery on Saturday, May 3, 7-9 p.m. for “Abandoned” – a fresh look at the forgotten and discarded – transformed into something beautiful. And there will be awards!
Free entry, casual vibes, wine and snacks provided. Come see what Visual Art League members from across DFW have created when they approached “Abandoned” with wild abandon! Curated by Daniele Jones and Judged by Justin Burns.
All Visual Art League of Lewisville art exhibitions and receptions are free and open to the public.
Conversations with Artists
On Sunday, May 25, 3-5 p.m., join the Visual Art League of Lewisville for an informal and inspiring “chat” session in the Main Gallery at the Lewisville Grand Theater. Visual Art League of Lewisville members will be speaking about their art in the “Abandoned” exhibition. Learn about the meaning, inspiration and materials of their artwork. This is also an opportunity for members and guests to ask questions and make a genuine connection with artists and the community.
This exhibition will be on display in the Art Gallery from May 3 – 31, 2025. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and evenings when there are other public programs scheduled in the building.
To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
