Lewisville Grand Theater | “Matilda the Musical” by Liberty Christian
Liberty Christian’s Upper School Theatre Department presents Raul Daul’s Matilda: The Musical on September 19 and 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Huffines Performance Hall at the Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.
The story follows Matilda Wormwood, a young girl with a sharp mind and vivid imagination. Matilda is unloved by her parents, who prefer watching TV to reading, and her tyrannical headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, who hates children and enjoys punishing those who don’t follow her rules. However, Matilda finds a protector in her kindhearted teacher, Miss Honey, and dares to take a stand against the oppressive forces in her life. This show showcases that “even if your little you can do a lot!” Matilda makes a huge difference in so many lives!
Tickets are $25 and be purchased online.
