Opening Reception: “JEMAA” art exhibition
JEMAA Jen Rose, Emily LaCour, Marian Ichaso, Anna Membrino, and Ariene Lepretre
Presented by the Lewisville Grand Theater
Sept. 20-Oct. 18
In 2015, a group of artists banded together to share successes, critiques, triumphs, and an occasional bit of art-world gossip. Ten years later, the group is still going strong. They call themselves JEMAA—an acronym of the members’ initials: Jen Rose, Emily LaCour, Marian Ichaso, Anna Membrino, and Ariene Lepretre. Each artwork in the exhibition is created in solitude yet made stronger by the enduring dialogue of JEMAA.
There will be an opening reception Saturday, Sept. 19, from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Art Gallery.
This exhibition runs from Sept. 20 – Oct. 18 in the main Art Gallery. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and evenings when there are other public programs scheduled in the building.
To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
