Meaning Through Memory
Works by Denise Lindgren

In her first solo exhibition, Meaning Through Memory, Denise Lindgren presents fragments of the past through collages and assemblages. Using original, once-used objects that carry both personal and collective histories, she explores how memory fosters understanding leading to meaning. Guided by geometry and symmetry, the heart of her practice is a blend of aesthetics, process, content, and material, anchored by spirituality and a belief in memory’s ability to connect past, present, and future. Lindgren is the winner of the Visual Art League of Lewisville’s Fresh Ideas 2024 exhibition.

All Natural
Presented by the Visual Art League of Lewisville
The All Natural art exhibit will be shown in conjunction with the solo show of last year’s winner of the Fresh Ideas show, Denise Lindgren. VAL artists’ works will display their inspirations and creative expressions on the theme of nature and all things natural.

These exhibitions runs from July 12 – Aug. 9 in the main Art Gallery. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and evenings when there are other public programs scheduled in the building.

To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
