VAL Holiday Mixer

The Visual Art League of Lewisville will swap its monthly meeting for a cheerful Holiday Mixer on Dec. 9 from 7-9 p.m. at the Lewisville Grand Theater. Guests can enjoy light bites, wine, and plenty of creative conversation while celebrating a dazzling year of exhibitions, workshops, and community art events.

Attendees are invited to bring a small, gift-wrapped artwork or art supply item to take part in an optional gift exchange—a fun way to share creativity with fellow artists. (The Gift Exchange activity is optional.) The evening will also include the announcement of VAL’s Artist of the Year.

This FREE event is open to the public, and non-members are especially encouraged to attend to learn about upcoming exhibitions, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities in 2026. Friends and family are welcome to join in the festivities at the Grand.

VAL’s monthly meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month at the Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles St., in Old Town Lewisville.

The Grand is Lewisville’s home for the arts. It presents a variety of regional and national touring performers, art exhibits, and classes, while also giving the many arts groups in the greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works. Its multiple performance spaces play host to a variety of events, including live music, theater, dance performances, comedy shows, and more. The center features the 294-seat Huffines Performance Hall, black box theater, recital hall, art gallery, and courtyard.

To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Please be aware that there is heavy road construction at the Main Street interchange with 35E that will cause delays.
