Keep Lewisville Beautiful | Garden Secrets Class

Keep Lewisville Beautiful presents its Garden Secrets class “Seed Saving and Storage” on Thursday, Sept. 7, 6-7 p.m., at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.

Gardeners have collected and saved seeds for centuries in order to save money, save species, and save time. While seeds are now readily available for most common plants, heirloom plants are often hard to find. This class will help attendees get started collecting and saving seeds for the future. Master Gardener Cheryl Huckabee will lead this class.

The class is free, but registration is required. Attendees can register at keep lewisville beautiful.org.

Keep Lewisville Beautiful partners with the City of Lewisville to provide classes throughout the year as an initiative of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. This program supports the “Sustainability” Big Move in the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. The full plan can be viewed online at cityoflewisville.com/lewisville2025.

Upcoming classes include “Cactus and Succulents” on Sept. 21, “Designing a Pollinator Garden” on Oct. 5, “Ask a Master Gardener” on Oct. 19, and “Texas Trees” on Nov. 16.

To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
