She Found Her Way: An exploration of texture, mark-making and color

Crys Nelson is a process artist experimenting and exploring new materials and techniques. Her love of mark-making and surface design is evident in her bold and graphic mixed media paintings, prints, and collage work. She also explores narrative through assemblage work using discarded and forgotten items to create “new” narratives. Nelson’s work tells a story through texture, line, shape, color. Meet the artist at a reception on Sunday, Aug. 30, from 3–5 p.m. Visitors are invited to view the exhibition and visit with Crys Nelson about her work.
This exhibition runs from July 25-Sept. 26 in the Administration Hallway Gallery. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and evenings when there are other public programs scheduled in the building.
The Education Hallway Gallery at the Lewisville Grand Theater is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and during public events. Exhibitions are always free to visit.
To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
