Better Together: Making the Dream a Reality
LISD student art exhibition presented by MLK of North Texas

On Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, the MLK of North Texas Committee celebrates the 33nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with their civic event and contest winner announcement held at Marcus High School. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, the organization will award cash prizes to students from 4th – 12th grade in four categories: Essay, Creative Photography, 3-D Ceramic and Sculpture, and Hand-Drawn Art. The contest theme for this year is Better Together: Making the Dream a Reality.
Winners of art works from the contest will be on view in The Education Hallway Gallery Saturday, Jan. 24 through Saturday, Feb. 28. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and during public events at The Grand.
To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
