Lewisville: 100 Years of Change

Lewisville: 100 Years of Change

The City of Lewisville is proud to announce the premiere of the Centennial-themed movie Lewisville: 100 Years of Change is set for Saturday, Dec. 13, 3 p.m., in the Huffines Performance Hall at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.

Lewisville: 100 Years of Change chronicles the rise of Lewisville, from its early farming days to the booming North Texas city it is today, with stories told by longtime Lewisville residents who have witnessed tremendous change and growth. Many of these stories have not been shared publicly before. The film features archival footage and pictures to help tell the story of this great city.

The documentary-style film was created by filmmaker, and former Lewisville resident, Matthew Alson Thornbury. The film was commissioned by the City as part of the yearlong Lewisville Centennial Celebration.

MAYORAL ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION
At the conclusion of the movie, Lewisville Mayor TJ Gilmore will host an audience-driven question and answer roundtable with former mayors David Denison (1973-1977), Bobbie Mitchell (1993-2000), and Dean Ueckert (2009-2015).

This movie premiere event is free and open to the public, but ticket reservations are encouraged to reserve a seat in the Huffines Performance Hall.
