Lewisville Lake Symphony
Lewisville Lake Symphony presents Kapustin’s Piano Concerto No. 4, featuring Chung Yue Tien on Friday, Jan 31, 7:30 p.m., in the Huffines Performance Hall at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.
For this extraordinary concert, piano phenom Chung Yue Tien and the Lewisville Lake Symphony under the baton of Maestro Adron Ming will perform the Kapustin Piano Concerto No. 4. Chung Yue Tien, now an 18-year-old senior at the University of Texas College of Music, was, at age 13, the youngest-ever contestant in the Van Cliburn Junior Competition. He will be performing an jazz-based piano concerto described as “an undeniable thrill ride”. The symphony will round out the program with music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and the Adagietto from Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5.

The Grand is Lewisville’s home for the arts. To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
