“Uncle Vanya”

Uncle Vanya runs for three weekends, April 4-20, at Lewisville Playhouse, 160 W. Main Street in Old Town Lewisville.

This intimate, immersive new adaptation of Chekhov’s classic from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker brings colloquial language to this internationally beloved story of human relationships and yearning. Sonia and her uncle Vanya have devoted their lives to managing the family farm in isolation, but when her celebrated, ailing father and his charismatic wife move in, their lives are upended. In the heat of the summer, all the wrong people fall in love, desires and resentments erupt, and the family is forced to reckon with the ghosts of their unlived lives.
